If you have a query about how or whether you can bill a service to Medicare under a particular circumstance, we recommend you first refer to a copy of the online Medicare Benefits Schedule for Optometry Services, and refer to the description of the relevant item number. You will find that some item numbers may also have additional information in the Notes section, so make sure you refer to those to see whether your query is able to be clarified. The Schedule is also available in PDF, which can be downloaded at left.
