Continuing Professional Development (CPD) is an essential part of optometry, both to maintain and improve the standard of care provided to patients and to advance the interests of optometrists. The annual requirement for Optometrists Association Australia members is 40 CPD points. Members may average their points over a two calendar year period, so at the end of each year members are required to have earned at least 80 points during the previous 24 months.

The Optometrists Association Australia Qld/NT Division hold a variety of CPD accredited events each year.  The Division's largest event, the annual congress Australian Vision Convention, is always held on the weekend after Easter.  For more information on this event and others please use the links on the left hand side of this page.
