Joining the Association

Membership with Optometrists Association Australia is open to all optometrists registered to practise optometry in any State or Territory of Australia. Individual optometrists join their State Division of the Association, and the six State Divisions are in turn the members of the national organisation.

Annual membership fees are set by the State Divisions, as circumstances and the services provided to members by the State Divisions vary. Fees also vary depending on the membership level (based on the amount of time spent in practice per week - i.e. optometrists in part time practice generally pay a lower membership fee).

Optometrists Association Australia provides a range of services and benefits for members, ranging from political representation to publications and discount programs. Some of the services and benefits available to members are listed in our Members Benefits page.

Optometrists interested in joining the Association should contact their local State Division for further details.
